Japan, Day 2 – Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibuya

Our first full day in Japan. We explored parts of Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya from about 12:00 – 21:00. We managed to shop and eat with just a few Japanese words. This also provided us with practice using Yen which was often confusing due to the large quantities of it and the many different coins. We rode six trains, did a lot of walking, allowed ourselves to get a little lost and explore several cool places.

Figuring out the train system.

So much beauty in Tokyo. I love the juxtaposition of old and new and how it all blends together. In less than a day I feel rejuvenated in my profession.

The first display that caught my attention was a Sailor Moon display in It’s Demo, Shinjuku Station. I had to buy something. ?

I get so excited every time I see something I recognize. I love how mainstream anime and other art forms are.
