10th Anniversary Bash

Karl and I celebrated out 10th wedding anniversary with a big party yesterday and it was amazing. Decorations were a perfect blend of romantic and geeky chic. We walked down the aisle together to the Imperial March from Star Wars, and our friend Jason, dressed in a Jedi robe with lightsaber, delivered the most awesome geeky monologue ever. Karl got choked up during his speech and a lot of people thought I was going to announce I was pregnant during mine so the ceremony was quite interesting and fun.

Dinner, catered by Effinas was fantastic, especially the Chicken Picatta and Panzenela. My mother and sister-in-law made a super geeky, but lovely vanilla cake with lemoncello filling that was divine. I danced until I was out of breath with both Karl and friends, and even managed to get my dad to dance with me for a bit. However, the big hit at the party was the photobooth Karl and I sat up stocked with tons of geeky props. Everyone loved it and I’ve got the photos to prove it. It’s been so much fun flipping through the photos and seeing everyone having a good time.

Our totally geeky ceremony followed by a bunch of clips of everyone dancing. (Click the top left corner to navigate through the different videos in the playlist)

Cake

Vanilla Cake with limoncello filling and white chocolate castings of Han Solo, the Tardis, and Daleks -- made by my mother and sister-in-law. It tasted even better than it looked.

DJ

Our friend Nick DJ'd. He did his own dubstep mix at the end of the night. Super cool.
