Japan Food Journal, Day 9

Breakfast on the bus. 

Cold coffee beverage. 4/5
  

Kokutou Mushipan – taste like raisin and brown sugar (carrot cake) moist and spongy 5/5

Butter bread taste like Hawaiian sweet roll but with crossAnt texture. 4.5/5
  

egg flavored mochi? not so great. I had to eat it because Karl thought it was awful.

Lunch in Shirakawa-go

 Our bus tour included a traditional Japanese lunch and it was fantastic.

Karl and I dared each other to eat the whole fish and it was okay except for the crunchiness of the spine in the head.
      

Ice cream in Shirakawa-go.

We tried the doboroku and kibi flavors.
    

It is hot in Japan so we eat a lot of ice cream, but I’m not complaining. This grated apple ice cream was fantastic and the cone style was super cute.

   
Dinner in Takayama

Hida Beef Noodles – Hida Beef is big in Takayama so we decided to give it a try.
