Texas Road Trip, 2018
|Whew! What a trip. Karl and I just got home from a weeklong road trip to Texas and back. We both got to explore several areas we’d never been to before. We saw a lot of sights and ate a ton of good food. I now know why people rave about food in Texas. I’ll be posting detailed vacation blogs this week but for the time being here are a few highlights from our trip.
Our trip included stops and/or stays in the following cities and some surrounding areas:
- Tuscaloosa, AL
- Baton Rouge, LA
- Houston, TX
- San Antonio, TX
- Austin, TX
- Waco, TX
- Dallas, TX
Some highlights of our trip include:
- Touring the Old State Capital in Baton Rouge, LA
- Visiting the Houston Museum of Art and NASA’s Mission Control in Houston, TX
- Visiting the San Antonio Riverwalk, The Alamo, and The Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio, TX
