Mini Family Reunion at Cherokee Rock Village

We had a mini-family reunion at Cherokee Rock Village in Leesburg, AL to celebrate my sister’s 37th birthday this past Saturday (9/24/2022). Karl and I hadn’t been to Cherokee Rock Village AKA Sand Rock in years and it’s changed a lot. When we last visited I don’t believe it was an official park. It’s now an official park called Cherokee Rock Village complete with admission, a store, pavilions, a playground, etc. Definitely worth a visit, or a nice place to camp if you’re into that. The park has beautiful views (which we failed to walk out and enjoy this trip) and tons of interesting large rock formations.

Karl and I had a blast hanging out late with Stacey and Matthew.
