Japan, Day 9 – Part 2: Exploring Takayama

What a beautiful day! The bus tour was great. We wanted to stay in Shirakawa-go longer but we also wanted to have time to explore Takayama. If we could do this trip all over again and time didn’t matter I’d spend three nights in Takayama instead of two so we could remain in Shirakawa-go longer and check out a few more sites in Takayama.

We ate dinner in this corner restaurant. We tried the popular local Hida beef. My dish was okay. Karl’s was really good.
