Connecting the Dormers

In July of 2007 we framed in the space between the two dormers on the right side of the house to give us the extra space needed to convert the upstairs powder room into a full bathroom. The front dormer is part of our master bedroom and the back dormer was the nonfunctional powder room (only a sink and toilet). This was a project we knew we’d want to eventually do from day one of looking at the house. Who wants to go down and up stairs every day to shower and get dressed? 

This was probably our most ambitious project and we couldn’t of done it without the help of our family. My grandmothers husband Frank was the biggest help. He’s a contractor and brought his crew over a couple of days to help us frame in the space and do the roof. Michael and my brother Marshall were also a big help.
