Merry Christmas friends & family! I hope you all had a lovely holiday in spite of the bleak times we are living in. We had a small family get together last night and then spent today putting together a puzzle and face timing with family and friends. It’s been weird and stressful but I’m glad we got to be a little social because this isolation has been killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve been meaning to write some sort of status update but have been depressed and haven’t felt like writing. Despite being depressed I’m doing well physically. I’m almost fully recovered from my COVID experience so I have a lot to be thankful for. My latest CT scan showed that the inflammation in my lungs is almost completely gone. Woohoo! I’m slowly regaining my strength in my arms, legs, and back and hope that I’ll be back to my pre-covid strength levels in another month or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While I’m happy to report that I’m expecting to make a full recovery. I’m sad to report that I’ve been struggling with a lot of depression and anxiety. It seems like the shock of everything has caught up with me and I’m experiencing a bit of PTSD. It’s been rough. I feel bad complaining because we’re all living through a rough time right now but if I can’t vent on my own blog where can I? lol. I’m receiving treatment for PTSD and recently started a new medication that seems to be helping. Thank god!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In other news, Karl is doing well and is fully recovered. Now that he’s not having to take care of me all the time he’s been putting together lego sets in his free time. We recently finished the Mandalorian and have been binging Star Trek Deep Space 9 together. Life has been pretty quiet and chill here lately. It’s been a bit lonely with all the social distancing but not necessarily bad. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
