It was my first time doing this kind of face painting and it was a lot fun. I was there as an Art Alliance volunteer for the museum’s annual museum day. Apparently people are pretty into face painting because there were 20+ people waiting for us as soon as we got there, and we were there half an hour early to set up. We were planning on doing only a few different cheek art designs but because we didn’t have time to set up, we ended up doing a lot of different things including some full face designs. My most popular request were full face butterfly designs, butterfly cheek art, and Alabama\/Auburn Monograms. I also painted cats, snakes, flowers, frogs, full face snake, tiger & cat designs, and a few other things. The museum supplied some inexpensive face paint that was horrible. It didn’t blend or apply well and was really thick and clumpy. Fortunately, I brought a small Snazaroo dry paint set which was great. The colors blended well with a little water and applied easily. The only thing I had to do was wait a short time for one color to dry before applying the next so that it didn’t blend together. So if you’re interested in learning face painting I definitely recommend Snazaroo’s paint\/book set.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Yesterday I painted the faces of dozens of little kids at the Anniston Museum of Natural History.
