Korea Day 22: Farewell South Korea
|Bethany, Kevin, Mausam, Sushant, and I woke up the Multi-bang in Gangnam we had spent the night at. We returned to Kookmin via bus around 8 am. Our roommates were already gone by the time we got back to the dorm. Leaving the dorm felt bittersweet. I tried to be extremely present in the moment during most of my time in South Korea so I was keenly aware of how special a time we had enjoyed and was sad to leave. The air travel back to the states is mostly a blur but I did get to see some very pretty views.

Returning to Kookmin
We woke up around 6:30 am left the Multi-bang to catch a bus back to Kookmin. I don’t know how well anyone slept but it was definitely a memorable last night. We zombie walked to the bus stop and several of us fell asleep on the bus during the ride back to Kookmin.
Dormitory Check-Out
We got back to Kookmin around 8 am and spent the next few hours packing and cleaning our room. Leaving Kookmin University was bittersweet. I really enjoyed my time living there with friends. It made me feel like a young college student again.
Shuttle to the Airport
Bethany, Daisy, and I rode together to the airport in a shuttle booked by Kookmin for us. We checked in, ate lunch together, and hung out until it was time for Daisy to catch her plane.
Flight from Incheon, South Korea to Seattle, Washington
I don’t remember much about our flight. I think I mostly slept and watched movies when not taking photos.
Flight from Seattle, Washington to Nashville, TN
Happy to be back in the states and closer to home.
El Tapatio with Stefanie & Cal
Our friends Stefanie & Cal picked us up from the airport and took us to El Tapatio, their favorite Taco restaurant in Nashville, for dinner. It was great, and the company was even better.
We had a bit of car trouble before we could get on the road. I think the battery was dead but I don’t recall exactly.
