2018 Christmas Ornament Round-Up
|I’m a sucker for Christmas Ornaments. I love collecting small high-quality items, especially the kind that don’t sit out all year long collecting dust. Plus, decorating a Christmas Tree is a lot less expensive than decorating a house and is also a lot easier to change up. Here are some of my favorite ornaments available this year.
1. Blitzer the T-Rex Holiday Ornament
Meet Blitzer, the T-Rex holiday ornament. If you’ve looked at the internet at all over the past few years you should already know that t-rexes are where it’s at. This little guy is my absolute favorite find of this year. However, Karl and I aren’t really sure he’s a t-rex. He looks more like a raptor, but he’s so awesome we don’t care.
2. Make your Christmas Tree great again!
Whatever your political affiliation I hope you can appreciate this humorous ornament of President Trump. Karl and I purchased this as a gift for our families annual Dirty Santa gift exchange. It sold out soon after we ordered it and I totally regret not purchasing one for ourselves. It was a hit at our family Christmas party and was one of only a few gifts stolen so much it got retired.
3. Three Dragons are better than One
Why buy one dragon for $18 when you can get three for less than $10 each? One of these babies made one of my cousins very happy at our families Dirty Santa event, another was a gift for a friend, and the last dragon now rests upon our tree. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
4. Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter
If you’re a Star Wars fan you will love this X-Wing Starfighter. The attention to detail and quality are fantastic. It is a bit pricey so keep your eye out for it on sale after the holidays if you’re patient enough to wait.
5. To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before
This solid-metal model of the U.S.S. Enterprise should make any Star Trek fan beam with geekiness. When I saw it I had to have it. I’m hoping it will help my dreams of a Space Tree will come true next year. Live long and prosper!
6. For the Harry Potter Fan
Fame isn’t everything. Or is it? I mean, who doesn’t love Harry Potter. Also, this ornament features one of my absolute favs — Alan Rickman (as Snape). Alan Rickman has left this world so the least I can do is immortalize him on my Christmas Tree, right?
7. One more spaceship
Browncoats unite! This here be the Serenity from the short-lived Firefly series. It was also featured in the movie which was named for the ship: Serenity. As you can see I am serious about putting together a Space themed tree for next year.
8. Childhood Nostalgia
I have fond memories of having one of these little guys as a kid so of course, Hallmark fished in even more of my money. This cute Glo Worm ornament lights up both my tree and my face. π
9. Gamers Delight
I can’t afford an arcade cabinet, but I can afford this arcade cabinet ornament featuring Donkey Kong, a blast from my past. I’m old enough to remember playing this on the Atari. It was one of my very first video games. #goodtimes
10. Santa Riding a freak’n Shark!
Woah! Santa on a shark? How cool are these! I love the personality of shark #1 but if it’s not in stock there’s always Santa Shark ornament #2. I found these too late to get in time for Christmas but if they’re available next year one of them will definitely adorn my tree.
I love sharing the things I love with others, so I hope you’ve enjoyed this little ornament guide. Till next time.
